THE HAPPINESSWEB is dedicated to inclusive entrepreneurship, social impact, and the structured exchange of knowledge, experience, and insight — an approach we refer to internally as KEI.

These Terms apply to all use of the Website. They do not apply to the Organisation’s offline activities, events, or direct contractual relationships with partners, clients, or collaborators, which are governed by separate agreements. By accessing the Website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accept these Terms.
3. Nature of the Website and its Content
The Website is an informational and organisational platform. It does not currently offer e-commerce functionality, financial services, subscription-based features, or user account registration. The content does not constitute legal, financial, medical, or professional advice of any kind.
4. Acceptable Use
4.1 Permitted use
You may read, browse, and share content published on the Website, provided that you do so in a manner that respects our intellectual property rights and the rights of third parties.
4.2 Prohibited conduct
- using the Website in a manner that violates any applicable law;

5.1 Ownership
All content published on the Website — including text, editorial content, graphic elements, organisational concepts (including the KEI framework), names, logotypes, and the Website’s overall structure — is the intellectual property of THE HAPPINESSWEB Private Stichting or is used with the permission of the relevant rights holders. Materials are protected by Belgian and European intellectual property law.
5.2 Limited licence for personal, non-commercial use
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and view the content of the Website for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. This licence does not include the right to reproduce, copy, distribute, create derivative works, or use any content for commercial purposes, including in training datasets for artificial intelligence systems, without express written authorisation.
5.3 Fair use and citation

7. Website Availability and Security
We aim to ensure that the Website is available at all reasonable times. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure access. The Website may be unavailable due to maintenance, failures affecting Cloudflare or Lovable infrastructure, or force majeure events. We use Cloudflare’s infrastructure to provide DDoS mitigation, bot management, and secure content delivery. Visitors remain responsible for the security of their own devices and network connections.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
Our approach to personal data is grounded in privacy by design: we collect only what is strictly necessary, we do not track visitors, and we do not monetise personal data. Full details are in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
- we do not use advertising, retargeting, or behavioural profiling technologies;
- we do not operate analytics platforms that track individual visitor behaviour;
- the only cookies placed on visitor devices are strictly necessary security cookies operated by Cloudflare;
- we do not sell, license, or share personal data with advertising networks or data brokers.
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1 General limitation
To the fullest extent permitted by Belgian law, THE HAPPINESSWEB Private Stichting and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special loss arising from your use of the Website, any inaccuracy in its content, any unauthorised access to data, any interruption of the Website, or any reliance placed on its content.
9.2 Third-party content and links
The Organisation accepts no liability for the content, accuracy, availability, or practices of any third-party website or service.
9.3 Non-exclusion of mandatory liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for: (i) death or personal injury caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct; (ii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (iii) any other matter in respect of which liability cannot be excluded under mandatory Belgian law.
9.4 Non-profit context
THE HAPPINESSWEB is a non-profit private foundation, operating without commercial revenue from its Website, providing informational content free of charge as a public-interest service.

14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with Belgian law. Where mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of habitual residence of a visitor confer more favourable rights, such mandatory provisions shall apply to the extent required by Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 (Rome I).
15. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute, please first contact us at legal@thehappinessweb.com. If amicable resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Belgium, subject to Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012 (Brussels I Recast) for consumers. EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s ODR platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary, or severed. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and THE HAPPINESSWEB in relation to your use of the Website.
